I don’t normally leave reviews, but this one deserves it. I bought this for our 10-year-old Rhodesian Ridgeback, Charlie. He’s still a happy boy and wants to follow us everywhere, but over the last year we’ve definitely noticed him slowing down a little, especially after longer walks. A friend had mentioned red light therapy to me before, so when I came across this I decided to give it a try. I honestly thought Charlie would hate sitting still for it, but it’s been the complete opposite. The first couple of times he was curious about what I was doing, and now he sees me grab it and just comes over and lays down next to me 😂 I usually use the comb attachment and for him it basically just feels like he’s getting brushed. We’ve been using it consistently for a few weeks now. I’m not going to say it’s some overnight miracle, but I have noticed that he seems more comfortable after resting and generally a little more willing to get up and follow us around. For me, that alone makes it worth continuing with. It’s also way easier to use than I expected. No complicated setup, I just grab it in the evening while we’re watching TV and spend a few minutes with him. At this point I think it’s become his favorite part of the day. Really happy we found it and hopefully we get to keep our old boy feeling his best for as long as possible ❤️
The device itself seems well made and everything arrived in good condition, but unfortunately it hasn’t worked out for us. My dog is very restless and every time I try to use it, he gets up after a minute or two. I’ve tried a few times and just can’t get him to stay still long enough. Nothing wrong with the product from what I can tell, it’s just not a great fit for my dog.
I bought this mainly because I wanted something I could use at home with my two dogs. Both of them took to it really well, especially my older one who will happily stay there while I use it. I love having the two different heads depending on what I’m doing. Took a little longer to arrive than I would’ve liked, which is the only reason I’m giving 4 stars.
